The school day and uniform
The school day begins at 8.40am. Pupils are welcomed in by staff on the playground from this time and we ask that all pupils are in school by 9.00am.
EYFS pupils have all day access to outdoor areas and pupils in KS1 and KS2 have a 15 minute break in the morning and a 45 minute break in the afternoon.
Pupils finish the day at the following times:
EYFS: 3.10pm
Years 1 and 2: 3.15pm
Years 3 and 4: 3.20pm
Years 5 and 6: 3.25pm
Uniform:
We encourage all children to wear school uniform of:
• white shirt or polo shirt ~ required
• blue top (sweatshirt, jumper or cardigan) ~ required
• grey or black bottoms (skirt, trousers or pinafore) ~ required
During hot weather children may wear shorts or school summer dresses in blue and white but these are optional.
Sweatshirts and t-shirts with the school badge and matching jogging bottoms are available from local suppliers and through mail order, at a reasonable price but are optional.
Non-branded, plain jumpers and sweatshirts in the school colour are more reasonably priced and available from all major supermarkets.
For safety reasons, children should wear flat sensible footwear.
If trainers are worn they must be laced up and tied in the correct manner. We request that footwear is black and closed toe.
We ask that all uniform is labelled with the child’s name. This particularly applies to outdoor clothes and PE kit (black bottoms and white top) which are often mislaid by children.
Watches should also have a name or initials marked on them for identification.
