Safeguarding

Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and at Yardley Wood Community Primary school we take safeguarding very seriously. If you have any concerns regarding the safety and well-being of a child, then please speak with one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads in school.

Our Safeguarding Lead is Miss Blackwood.

Our Deputy Safeguarding Leads are Mr Turner, Miss Palmer, Miss Walls, Miss Ford and Miss Jakeways.

Safeguarding Policy 2023/24

We are a Thrive School: Thrive helps children and young people feel safe, supported and ready to learn.

Miss Ford and Miss Jakeways are Thrive practitioners who work with children to help them become more emotionally resilient and better placed to engage with life and learning.

We undertake the Thrive approach throughout school, focussing on the emotional health and wellbeing of all of our pupils, to ensure they feel happy and safe and ready to learn.
